Humanity Protocol founder Terence Kwok said in his first public interview after the project was hit by an approximately $36 million attack that the team will reposition its business direction, gradually de‑emphasizing blockchain and decentralized identity (DID) focus and shifting toward enterprise‑grade AI products and services. Kwok noted that the attack stemmed from a developer device private‑key leak rather than a smart‑contract vulnerability, making the likelihood of recovering the stolen funds low. The team is now concentrating on the migration of the new token and compensation processes. He also disclosed that the project has been planning a strategic shift for several months, and has already attracted roughly 10 million registered users, with several million of them having completed identity credential verification. Humanity Protocol launches recovery airdrop after a hacker attack that resulted in a loss of $36 million!

Humanity Protocol announced a full token migration and a 1:1 airdrop of a newly issued token following the June 8 exploit.
The old token was retired on Ethereum, BBN Chain, and Humanity Mainnet.

Eligible holders will receive replacement tokens based on snapshots taken before the exploit.
Wallets linked to the attacker have been excluded from distribution.
Humanity Protocol says additional compensation mechanisms will cover complex claims.
