🚨JUST IN: ZCASH UPGRADE TO STOP UNLIMITED FAKE ZEC COULD BE DELAYED

Zcash Shielded Labs said the Ironwood upgrade may be pushed back as exchanges, wallets and mining pools need more time to complete migration.

The upgrade is meant to replace the Orchard privacy pool after a bug was found that could theoretically allow unlimited fake ZEC to be created.

Developers say there is no evidence the bug was exploited, but Zcash’s privacy design means it cannot fully prove fake coins were never minted.
