According to Wu, Coinbase officially announced that through Coinbase Payments it will provide a stablecoin payment channel for Spiko's money market funds. Spiko's EU T-Bills Money Market Fund and US T-Bills Money Market Fund will become the first UCITS funds in Europe to accept stablecoin payments, supporting EURC and USDC. Coinbase says the integration runs on Base, allowing institutional investors to subscribe and redeem between stablecoins and short-term US Treasury funds 24/7 in near real-time, reducing the time and capital tied up by traditional bank wire transfers and T+2 settlement.

According to researcher Rafi, the adjusted transfer volume of international stablecoins in Q1 2026 reached $760 million, a year‑over‑year increase of 245%.
