✅ MetaMask Launches Stablecoin Yield Account with Card Spending

MetaMask has launched "Money Account," offering up to 4% variable APY on mUSD stablecoin balances, with DeFi-powered yield via vaults and card spending capabilities, according to Cointelegraph. The service is currently unavailable in the UK and EU.

MetaMask unveiled a self-custodial "Money Account" that lets users earn up to 4% variable APY on mUSD deposits.

The product runs on Monad, uses Morpho vaults for yield, and connects to MetaMask Card for spending.

MetaMask's parent company Consensys launches a self‑custodial account product Money Account, integrating stablecoin yields, payments, and trading into a single account. The product is built on Monad, with MetaMask's own stablecoin mUSD at its core. Users can automatically allocate funds to DeFi lending protocols such as Morpho to obtain up to about 4% floating annual yield, and Aave integration is planned for the future. Users can spend via MetaMask Card at merchants supporting Mastercard, and can directly use it for token swaps, perpetual contracts, and prediction market trades without extra transfers.
