This is a big ass wall of text, so lemme break down the most important parts. 1️⃣ EF will fund fewer large non-core projects Vitalik said some projects he personally thinks matter may get support from his own funds instead of EF's budget. 2️⃣ Core Ethereum ambitions are not being reduced EF is still pushing major protocol work through the Ethereum Strawmap, covering things like consensus, proofs, privacy, accounts, and state management. 3️⃣ Client teams may become more specialized Instead of every Ethereum client team doing everything mainly for redundancy, Vitalik expects more specialization, with AI-assisted formal verification helping reduce the resources needed for protocol development. 4️⃣ @ethereumfndn is getting smaller on purpose The goal is for EF to act more like a long-term support/endowment org, not the giant central engine behind everything Ethereum. I think this is the right direction tbh. Lean execution matters, and crypto already has a few insane examples of this, like @HyperliquidX

See attached screenshot from SWIFT CIO about their actual plans: They are going to be using their own chain, and "in the future they *might* do proof posting to Linea" (at near zero cost). Swift chain is going to be a private, permissioned gasless chain. Why? 1. Because they don't want nor benefit from NFT animal mints and meme coin trading on their chain dedicated to cross-border payment settlement. 2. There is zero reason for their member-owned co-op to be charging gas fees to their own users/members. Thus, if there is no gas, it can't be a public chain because randos could then spam the chain. So, in a nutshell, Swift chain has literally nothing to do with any of the things (ETH, Linea) you've written on the topic. It's simply an EVM chain that had early-stage prototyping done by Consensys.
