I have never really posted about one of my biggest positions, and maybe my favorite one.

True story: in 2011, a friend told me to put $10k into Bitcoin. I was one of those finance guys who dismissed it immediately. This guy would call me for 10 years asking if I had finally bought some. I told him the same thing over and over: you are dodgy, this is for guys like you, there is no underlying value, it's speculative, it yields nothing, and I dont even know where to buy it.

He is now worth around $200m and owns a farm growing plants in North Carolina.

Today, a real chunk of my wealth is in Bitcoin. Why?

Because Bitcoin is the closest thing I have found to wealth that I actually own. No company, board, no CEO, no central bank, no earnings calls, 10k's etc etc.

It's scarce, portable, borderless, tough to be stolen if you know what you're doing, and dare I say one of the greatest human inventions of all time.
