I think we are looking at this the wrong way, protocols don’t expand to other ecosystems out of loyalty or friendship, they expand for users, liquidity, distribution, revenue, and growth. If Sui protocols are expanding to Solana, it’s because Solana offers access to things they believe can help them scale, that’s not a criticism, it’s competition. And I think the more important question isn’t: “Why aren’t Solana protocols expanding to Sui?” but “What does Sui offer today that would make expanding here an obvious business decision?”, because users attract builders who in turn attract protocols which attracts liquidity. That’s why distribution matters. Again, technology alone rarely wins. The ecosystems that succeed are the ones that can consistently help products get discovered, help builders find users, and help good ideas reach the people they’re meant for. This is also why I believe creator ecosystems will become an increasingly important competitive advantage for blockchains not because they produce more content, but because they create distribution. They help products tell better stories, help users understand new technologies, help builders reach audiences and help ecosystem narratives compound over time. The goal shouldn’t be convincing protocols to come, no, it should be building an ecosystem so valuable and so discoverable that not expanding to it becomes a missed business opportunity. That’s how markets work and how ecosystems grow. Our goal as an ecosystem should be to become the destination for every user, builder, business etc and not a place they “expand” from to other ecosystems.

Any $Sui believers still breathing out there?

I’ve been creating content and playing Dora the explorer on Sui for a while now. Recently I decided to start exploring @solana too, just out of curiosity and the @SuperteamNG influence actually. Both are super fast blockchains but they feel different. Here are my honest first thoughts after playing around for a few days; Sui showed me how smooth and quick blockchain apps can be. That got me wondering, what’s the vibe like on Solana? So I jumped in and started clicking around. It’s been fun seeing another fast chain in action. First impressions so far: • The affiliated wallets (Phantom and Backpack) are really easy and feel nice to use every day • Swapping tokens on Jupiter is crazy fast and simple • There’s this exciting energy with new projects popping up all the time It honestly feels very lively. What surprised me: Solana has established a highly welcoming and enabling ecosystem for creators (the creative community) to thrive. The way people use Solana for fun stuff and everyday applications feels different from what I’m used to. Everything just moves really quickly here. Still very early in my exploration though, so no strong opinions yet. Just enjoying the ride. Over the next few weeks I’ll keep trying more apps, exploring different things, and sharing what I discover. Think of it as me taking you along on this little adventure.
